aside from my 200 hours hospital internship at koronadal city (pingoy's hospital), my Christmas last year was merry. i bet, you already know why. haha. i spent most of my time in the hospital having 14 hours duty everyday. take note, everyday, meaning, i don't have weekend breaks! take note again, it was December. i started my duty on december 16 (but it should have been on 12th) and i ended up on december 31st, yeah, i celebrated new year at home and also Christmas (i got 24 hours break). as usual, i did familiarize all the drugs in the pharmacy, read prescriptions, dispense drugs, rounds to nursing stations, talk to patients, deal with nurses, talk to doctors, makiusyuso sa emergency room (esp gun shot cases), food trip (which includes our midnight snacks, balut and pork bb during my 9-day night shifts, 7pm-9am), movie marathon, gossiping with some interns, pharmacists and pharmacy aides and many many many many more!

at first, i was really really really really disappointed when i heard i was assigned in Pingoy at marbel. why? because i thought they will give me poor training. but i was really really really wrong! now, i believe i'm one of the luckiest interns! we have better trainings. we always have quizzes and exams, (others do not have) discussions and lectures, rounds and opportunity to talk and communicate with all the people there. we answer telephone calls and manage patients and computer systems alone, without even the aid of the pharmacy staffs. we work just like the employees, of course, that is without salary. haha. chos!

last tuesday, i woke up with a 39.5 degree celcius temp, then tatay asked me to take care of the hardware because he'll be busy on cutting some trees. later that afternoon, i started to shiver, i went home, taking my usual fever medication- acetaminophen. later on, i had my check-up. have my clarithromycin and erdosteine for my cough. on the next day, i still have my fever, cough, and i did not get to enjoy each spoon i take for my meal, i have the worst taste buds ever. ugh:// i tried to take w23ftyu8898 liters of gatorade just to rehydrate me. we looked for some hospital but it seems that they're all occupied. i had instead my IV infusion set, injected by some nurse around. i stayed at home for almost 3 nights with my dextrose on, but nothing positively special happening, so they looked again for some hospital and found this oh-please-get-me-out-of-here-because-it's-fucking-dirty-here. plus the nurses don't do "rounds", i hate it:// i was diagnosed with dengue, i have a platelet count from 145 to 146 to 95, to 81, to 99. my nanay, and sister from sates are pushing me to have blood transfusion, and my kuya fom manila kept on pushing me to drink tawa2, plus peeps here are telling me to eat durian to boost my platelet, i'm eating and drinking at the same time. chos. kapoy edit. nka dextrose pa right had ko. kawawa na left hand and fingers ko, puno na ang needle pricks and needle insertions :// pray for me, Lord God, help me po:))) Amen.

as what i've promised to myself before entering college, that is, i should join clubs/orags and be active on it... guess what? i'm starting to move. heehee. if you're a reader of this blog since entering college, you probably know that i haven't joined any clubs in school, or any dance groups or contest because i was so busy in my academic activities. yes, i have moved already. my first exposure in stage was my performance for group impersonation (pharmacy acq party)(we got 2nd place), which, we did Dream girls impersonation. second, i joined the SPC mentor's group, the geekiest group in school. i joined the acq party, basic mentoring seminar and team building. 3rd, i joined the intramurals hosting audition, fourth, i did host the 3rd night event of our intrams. so far, the greatest activity i did was to be a host.

i know that these are just simple moves, but i'm just so proud of myself, at least, i've moved and showed to them that i excel both in acads and other stuffs. anyway, i'm planning to join some more events, especially in our department, next target is to join any contest in pharmacy week, (quiz bee, sana), and join more clubs and be more active in mentoring.

PS: maraming competent and excellent sa school na hindi pa nagmomove, yung iba, hindi naman competent, puro confidence lang (remembre, confidence is not enough) ang naglilead ng school orgs, hindi lang isa, nakakaabot pa until 3 orgs. hindi lang kayo ang estudyante sa school, give chance to others naman. let others take the spotlight, they're more deserving to some who has already the spotlight.

everybody knows that it's sembreak already! yipee. we had our final exams last oct 17-19. i did good in most of the minor subjects and physical pharmacy, (i think). and i've tried my best in answering my pharmacology exam. but i think, i will fail:(

subject review:

physical pharmacy: i thought it was all pure calculations and dosage forms, but we got rheology, solubility and many more talking about the physical properties of drug and how to stabilize them. talked about the flow properties of powders inside the capsules and compression of powders into tablets. reader, did you get that? so, people, don't label pharmacists as plain tinderas in drugstores, mkay? we have chemistry every sem, don't ever underestimate the power of pharmacists, she/he may give you a lethal drug that you may not know. haha. i like our professor!

pharmacology: i hate this. i've learned nothing. i hate our professor. we did "self-study", but that is not sufficient, of course, we need the help of our professor, he's so useless. ugh. oust him please! anyway, "nothing" was a joke. i've read about CNS drugs, anti-asthma, neurotransmitters, the liberation-adsorption-distribution-metabolism-excretion-response of drugs. i know what the drug does to the body and what the body does to the drug.

history: even though, i don't really like the professor, i like this subject. of course, you get to know what the spaniards did, their cruelty and what our forefathers did to gain freedom and independence. since then, i was a fan of history subjects.

bioethics: i don't really like our professor and the discussion, but i like the topics discussed. we talked about abortion, PMS, sex, suicide, euthanasia and other principles regarding medical situations. i was exempted in final exam anyway, because i had 90+ grade both in prelim and midterm, we were only 2.

rizal: i really hate rizal, both the hero and subject. i hate waking up in the morning just to attend this class. plus the professor seemed to be so braggy about her achievements, she tells us about it all the time. (paulit-ulit!). but i love reading the book, rizal's story and his love life, especially when he was executed in dapitan. but i hate how historians exaggerate his stories, he's great, i know that, but there's something in him that he does not deserve to be called as such.

RS400: i hate the subject, it was really boring. but i appreciate the efforts of our professor. he kept on doing new things in every meeting just to wake us up from his boring subject. we talked about Christian morality, conscience, guilt, human acts and values. from the very first meeting until the end, i don't get the point of each:(

basic statistics: easy. haha. srsly, it was easy, even if you will not attend my prof's lectures or sleep during his classes. i like our prof and the subject too. my classmates will surely agree with this.

that's it. my first time to have a sem-ender review on my subjects.

SPC trancends. intrams 2011, 1st night. i watched formal cheering, i remember, a dancer from some team accidentally hit my camera because she was running too fast and accidentally hitting my classmate's face!

after hosting an intrams night event, i went home because i miss my nieces and nephwes. anyway, she is yna, she has piranha teeth. that's the 1st day of her chickenpox (which i did not notice), after finding out the next day she has already lesions, i freaked out, i don't want chickenpox, not now!

after intrams: i got sick because of drinking almost a liter of very cold iced-tea and never took water after drinking. from sore throat to cough, headache, runny nose

my friends were telling me that we should have our nail art on our nails, but it was freaking expensive and we came out having manicure treatment and colored nail polish on intrams. anyway, i was inspired to try my very own nail art, but it was not that "art" you called in nail arts. haha

i feel so rejected. i feel rejection most of the time from people i usually hang out with. there is something in me that every act they do, i do evaluations and make conclusions, ie. they hate me because i over react on some simple things like exaggerating that i am sick. like, i answer pilosopong-tasyo style on their queries, i brag, i make excuses. i know, hindi uunlad ang isang tao pag iniisip niya ang tingin sa kanya ng tao. sorry, i'm too being sensitive/paranoid. anyway, i am sick. cough with phlegm, runny nose, headache when i cough, back ache, in short, i am sick because i stress myself in the internet, i usually go online up to 2am then sleep for 7-8 hours only, plus i don't take vitamins and i don't eat healthy foods, include the rainy/stormy-sunny weather and the raging floods.

Dear God, pls help me in my final exams, i hope i can study well and don't face facebook but to face my books. i pray that i can answer all the questions correctly and will be healthy again on review and exams days. bless me Lord God that i can make tipid of my allowance and to avoid the temptation of junk foods and softdrinks. Bless me Oh Lord and thank You for all the blessings you have showered upon us. and Bless the soul of my cousin's husband, may he rest in peace with You. Amen.

PS: i did hosting on our intramurals day 3, but i have no decent picture to upload online. they said, i did well, but i strongly believe that i did not and i did not meet their expectations. most of the comments i got, i have a very soft and low voice. uhm, excuse me?! i was like shouting! anyway, i met new friends, my co-hosts. they were experts! the girl is a band vocalist, so expect she's used to entertain people and have a very good and loud voice. the other one was a boy, he was an english speaker, he does not speak tagalog or bisaya, so expect he said everything in pure english (and very little tagalog pala, haha). i impersonated Crissy, the impersonator of kris aquino. the rest was history. it was not really that memorable, i'm just bitter, i know. haha

i'll be hosting SPCs intramurals day 3, vocal solo and impersonation, events on a wednesday night. and i'm so kinukulbaan kay dili ko kabalo maghimo ug hosting spiels ug dili na ko gina-expect na serious show diay akong i-host. i thought i'll be hosting a funny show because i was accepted in the screening doing Ruffa Mae Quinto and Crissy impersonations. but i don't know what happened. it's my first time to talk in my school's stage with microphone, a booming sound system, splash of stage lights, and a thick crowd, plus, it's a whole night event. so, God bless me!

last week, we went to dominican house of prayers and had our last recollection. it was fun! but i liked last yr's reco because we cried buckets. we had our picnic too, we brought junk foods, drinks but i brought chocolates. i had my confession too, hmm, it was awkward i tell you. it's the most awkward confession i have so far! haha. the snacks and meals were so good too. yummy spaghetti, sinigang na hipon, fried chicken and pancakes too! we're too busy taking photos too! and yes! we have our class picture again! hello reader/s (if someone is reading this, okay!) last saturday and sunday, zaf ang I joined this school's student mentors' group acquaintance party, basic mentoring seminar and teambuilding activity held at jones beach resort, talomo, davao city. it wasn't not fun-at all. there was fun (but not to the highest level). honestly, i was so dismayed:(. the food and place were fine, but the accommodation and feeling of belongingness from the group members were so static (did i just use "static", omg!). in fact, out of 60+ members, 20+ were from BMLS (medtech), 2 from Pharmacy (i and zaf) and the rest were nursing students. i am not against bsn students or what, but I feel we don't belong to the group. bsn is bsn, bmls is bmls, pharm is pharm. i thought we'll be acquainted well in the acquaintance party to make us one, but what happened is too far away from the word "acquaintance". i liked the speakers in basic mentoring seminar, but at the end, we (i and zaf) found ourselves busy taking photos from different corners of the function hall. the teambuiding was harsh, we played this football (but it's not football actually, they just called it that way) under the raging uv rays of sun and the sizzling sand! let me tell you with these pictures.

i feel so rejected from the people around me. maybe i'm paranoid, who needs psychiatric attention, ugh, i hate this feeling. i felt this since last week. there are times i prefer to work/study alone, or silent in class or maybe i'm thinking too much or thinking that i'm just over reacting on people's actions/deeds towards me :/ i feel so useless and worthless, or may be i'm missing someone or missing or LOOKING for people's attention. yes, attention-seeker, pleasure-seeker, or whatever it is, ugh! plus the fact that our recollection didn't help me to overcome my case! another plus, that i feel so envious on people around me, they're happy, i'm not :(. and my academic performances too, affect my mood (because of low scores, even though i study hard!), this is like rejection.

hi. i went to gmall today and i saw these cosplayers strolling around the mall. i hate it. i don't know, i was just so annoyed with cosplaying stuffs. may be because i'm not an anime lover (and i will never be, except of course for disney, nickeledeon, cartoon network cartoons!). another, may be those cosplayers who are not pleasant to look at with their costumes and make up on. they praise foreign acts rather than acknowledging Filipino stuffs, where's patriotism and itangkilik ang sariling atin, anyway? why are these people spend money on their costumes, make up, anime toy collections if they can save it in the bank, or in some needs? i'm just wondering! hello, why don't you spend your time on education? money on food? on the brighter side, at least, these people don't take prohibited drugs, that's good anyway. but still, let's be practical, people! ok. so much for that. chos! i'm practicing freedom, anyway, so don't get me wrong. chos again!

hello, i'm sick! prelims... done! (july 21-23) i took basic statics with fever, i was shivering because of the very cold environment, hanglakas ng ercon! on the last day, i took the exams (RS, history, physical pharmacy) with fever, headache and body fatigue. imagine, physical pharmacy has calculations, hindi ako makaconcentrate, ok lang ang history and rs, na keri ko pa. Pharmacology is so so deadly, i've read !@#$%^&*( powerpoint presentations, and maliit lang lumabas. ok. but i think, i passed, hopefully. multiple choice bitaw and exam. haha. anyway, most of our pharmacy subjects are using scantron sheets. multiple choice type of exam, you shade the box of your answer, this is to train us for the future board exams. i like it because, if you don't know the answer you can "bantot-bantot" the letter, i don't like it because, i hate shading! masyadong masakit sa maskels ng kamay.

as what i've said, i'm sick, maybe due to stress (lack of sleep, no proper nourishment, overwork) and weather. i'm sick until now, and it's 3 of us, Me, zaf and nick! friends nga naman. haha. chos!

Right after the discussion of requirements for Prelims in RS 400, I went home directly. I took the jeepney as a ride home. As the jeepney’s engine started to sound, I immediately recalled the “My Philosophy of Life” article to be submitted. Lugar lang manong, the jeep stopped. And I started to think. What could be the best things to describe my philosophy? I asked myself. I worried. I worried because i don’t know what really is my life’s philosophy. I paused for a second and watched the sceneries and people, they made me think, again. Lugar lang, lihog sa bayad, words of another passenger, the jeep stopped again. And i continued to think. After a short distance, at least 100 meters after the last jeep stop, another passenger asked Manong to stop. I was pissed off of the simultaneous stopovers of the jeep, I was in a hurry because the clouds started to darken, I predicted that it would rain heavily. Still in the jeep, i kept thinking and thinking until I have realized, life is a beautiful process but at the same time a very monotonous and dull, just exactly like a jeepney ride! (Because of the numerous stopovers before you reach your final destination). The red light flashed, again, the jeep I was on stopped. I sighed. I’ve realized, life has no turning back and has no power to look for shortcuts, you just have to wait. The green light appeared, the jeep went on. Not a very long distance, some students from a nearby school rode on the jeep. They were laughing, noisy and very happy. I’ve realized, life has so much to offer, from beautiful gifts wrapped by people you encounter- family, friends, relatives, who, will eventually touch you, mold, develop and affect you. The passenger students somehow made my heart laugh because they’re so funny and nice to look at. They also made me angry, I hate the very boisterous laughters that were very hurting in the eardrums. The jeepney stopped, one of the students got off waving her right hand with matching “Babye” from her mouth. A thought sprouted, happiness isn’t always there, there will be sadness, sorrow, sacrifices and goodbyes. The jeepney ride continued. I was busy browsing my contacts in cellphone when suddenly a couple who was seating beside me loudened their voices, as if they were competing using high-pitched voices. They were fighting. But what I can remember was, they we’re too sweet, cuddled a little with held hands just a minute ago before they shrieked their voices out. I’ve realized, life is a box of astonishment. Sometimes, we were so overwhelmed with joy and suddenly, boom! They’re all gone, and what was left was chaos. Manong Driver was curious about the couple’s argument, he interrogated. They answered. He asked them to stay calm, talk harmoniously so that they will be reconciliated. The couple did. I laughed quietly in my mind. I never thought of a driver who was brave enough to fix the lovers’ quarrel, I was just so amazed. I’ve realized, life, despite of some negative vibes, mysteries and surprises, it has really a lot to offer, a lot. There will be Someone who will cheer us up, comfort and enlighten us. Someone Who has the power to make us strong and believe that life is just so good and wonderful as long as we have faith in Him. Lugar lang, lihog sa bayad, salamat. I uttered. I opened my umbrella, stepped down the jeep and sighed. I’ve realized, things aren’t always going to be fair in the real world. That’s just the way it is. But for the most part, you get what you give. Life is, uhm, still so good.

hi there. happy father's day!

ps: i don't have saturday classes, that's why i did jogging and aerobics at people's park yesterday, about 5:30-6:30 am. i had 4 laps of jogging and 2 laps of walking. i really enjoyed the aerobics, so fun. i kinda like to demand more running shoes and original sportwears to nanay's shopping! it's 1:07 am, i only have 4 hours of sleeping left. i'l do it again later. i hope i could do it again. i'll have stiff neck for sure, i didn't have the chance to warm-up, so yeah, formation of lactic acid crystal, which caused me to be like paralyzed, muscle pain, dude. just imagine, after 2 years of being a couch potato and lazy-college-student-who-does-not-work-out-except-for-sports-in-PE.

pps: we have a new room/boarding house! much cheaper than our 8k apartment (plus e-bills and inet-bills) (imagine a college girl who is non-working and another jobless lady who pay 10k a month, imagine, they don't earn, which eventually leads to bankruptcy). kidding. too big amount of money for us to pay!

hi! i passed our pharmacy comprehensive exam. i got an average of tantararan, 83! i ranked 7th, overall (out of 140+, i think). i'm just so glad for passing area 2 and 6 which were the most difficult areas. i got 76 in area 2 and 78 on the other. another thing that made me burst into happiness was, i did not really study or let's say, i didn't put so much effort on that exam but still, i passed. i'm proving something to myself and everyone else, you know what i mean. anyway, i don't feel like celebrating knowing that some friends partially passed and some classmates failed:( but still, i THANK YOU LORD FOR ANOTHER BLESSING, and yes, i'm still a scholar, i got a whooping 88 in biochem na akala ko walang pag-asa dahil sa laboratory. i'm just so proud to tell my parents i passed and my grades are getting better than last 2nd sem. heehee. good gifts for parents aside from being a good daughter. lol.

we had our summer final exam last may 24th, (biochem and world lit), the day after that day, 25th, went to abreeza to detoxify, walked, ate, walked, debated, walked and ate at a sorry-huh-nabibwiset-ako-dun-sa-kinain-ko-bwiset-the-price-is-not-right. lol. of course, hindi mawawala ang 5 (?) nights na sleepover dito sa apartment, i enjoyed too much, i was stressed too. no sleep at all, kumbaga. imagine pa, kinabukasan, 8am, may review ka pa sa major subjects mo from 1st year, imagine, last last year pa yun. i'll be leaving some photos, they will tell you what made me busy and what i did these past few weeks.

good thing, abreeza (an ayala mall) has opened. i like the fact that it's open now. new place for tambay, new environment to stroll, i like the interiors, the stores and almost everything. but i hate the fact that it causes a very very very very very very heavy traffic. i know, it's normal cause it was its first day. but consider this: a usual 5-10 min jeepney ride took us more than an hour! plus the very sticky sweat running down on your forehead to your cheeks to your neck down to your cleavage. consider this again, the taxi and jeepney drivers who took naps on a national high way while vehicle engines are on. plus the streaking and sizzling uva rays given by the sun. haha. i know, ako rin! MANUL. haha. i saw enchong dee anyway, and joseph marco and jake roxas. haha. fangirlism!

i like the fact too, that forever 21 store was not there. thank God! i don't know why some people wish to have it here, (as if naman, ano, haha!). if it was there, i would discard half in my closet. joke. sorry for being so selfish, but i really hate it when i've stumbled in a person with the same blouse/t-shirt/design as mine! consider it as an embarrassment! but i think, f21 phil and f21 usa items are not alike.

starbucks in davao is so trending! imagine, not everyone loves coffee, and imagine a very long line outside starbucks. and imagine photographs of people holding grande frappes. haha.

i phone called my nanay in california, she's off-duty anyway. i greeted her "nanay, happy mother's day! i love and i miss u!", i always tell her i love you before hanging up the phone whenever we talk. it's not corny, i promise! it's the very best thing to do especially showing your love and thank them! but i feel awkwardness when i talk to tatay. haha. bias much.

i texted my sister in nevada, she didn't reply, i called her. unfortunately, it was 1am, that means they're all asleep. i left a message, kasi sosyal, answering machine ang nagsagot sa akin. one word, MANUL. i greeted her, the usual greeting.

i also texted my two other sisters in isulan and some friends. posted a picture in fb with i think the 4 loveliest mothers in the world. NANAY, and my 3 sisters. aside from that, i greeted myself "happy mother's day", too. i agreed with someone who greeted me that thing. you know, in my clan, i'm the youngest in both of my father and mother's cousins. it means, i have !@#$%^&*() nieces and nephews (i don't know exactly the number of my pamangkins). some graduated, some were married, and still babies. but those who are closer to my heart are my 6 pamangkins, who never fail to give me joy and happiness and kisses and backpains, and headaches and rants and tears. they're so wonderful, they're my kids, not from my womb but they're my kids because i love them and they love me back. i am their Tita A-an and mama A-an. (when they were still learning to talk, they always pronounce my name Tita Jo Anne as Tita A-an. i like it anyway, it sounds cool.

oh, hello there! just got home from our not-so fine dining event. my precious toes sore. i hate my pink but really cute heels i bought last week. i did enjoy the public speaking event because we're too busy taking pictures but i didn't enjoy my 300php worth of food and hall settings. i am so dismayed.

i haven't posted for a long time. nothing much happened except our killer exams. i told nanay that i think i'm losing my academic scholarship, she replied "ok, study lang". i know i did my best for this sem, but i know too that i'm lazy, always. i've been telling myself that this summer, i'll do my very very very very best, study more, facebook less, sleep more, speak my heart out more and more. i want to be ACTIVE, PARTICIPATIVE like who i was way back in high school. i want to make noise, academic and a remarkable noise. let's see what i can do for now.

hey, i just turned 18 last feb 18th, which happened to be SPC's Chill day, expect no class, bands, and random-but-really-funny school activities. we had this SPC ACT IT OUT , to the next level, it made me burst into giggles and i cried because i have LOLed much. but before that, i treated my group of friends at Shakey's for lunch, took out a family size pizza. that night, had dinner at Krua Thai with some friends, their boyfriends and my circle of friends of course and videoke at Goddess ktv bar until midnight.

on 19th, i did not have my duty because i'm so freaking tired, then went straight to Digos to attend Cyril's debut. had fun there, plus laag-laag at 2am, slept at Taps, went to Digos Doc to buy meds and water at 12 mn. and i-am-sorry-coz-the-rest-is-history. haha. slept at arnaldo's hotel where the debut held.

20th, woke up early, had photoshoot and jollibee for breakfast. at 3pm, left Digos. had dinner with housemates at gerry's grill and did grocery that night, for my post-bday celebration. haha.

still no enough sleep. and hey, went back to school, and i've been receiving high scores last midterm exams, not high, but the highest. braggy bitch! pictures? look down!

while walking at the side of quirino ave, i saw this guy with a problematic face because he's very hungry, and has grease-like things on his body, taong grasa, for short (sorry for the term). i was wearing smile that time coz my stomach is full and was energized, but when i had this eye-to-eye contact, i bowed down, i stopped smiling. i was having 2nd thoughts whether to help him or not, then i suddenly remembered, antacids, coz you know, hyperacidity (probably, acidity made him doing that: squeezing, massaging his stomach). okay. that's so pharmaceutically related. but i don't mean it like that, i mean, you know, our situation? everytime i go out, i see these senior people, begging for some money and food, i always give them whenever i have coins in my pockets. i'm not that so nice and generous to give but i cal ALWAYS feel them. something's crushing my heart, and whenever i think of them after seeing them, sometimes, i just don't notice i have tears. okay, drama. maybe i can't change the world, but still, i'm doing something right, at least, to reduce. btw, you'll be inspired by post-modern philosophers, especially Simone de Beauvoir. inspired by philosophy class! haha

1st day of class knina for 2011, lakas ng ulan, dahil dun, i was hoping na walang pasok, pero shet, mas maaga pa professor ko kysa sa akin. binigay ang scores sa exam, mabuhay ako, hindi ako mababa, hindi rin mataas! bwahaha. i thought, i failed in economics. maganda rin ang kuha ko sa pharmacognosy, when i say maganda, maganda talaga, kasing ganda ko! wala kming interpersonal communication and pharmacognosy lab kanina, kaya umuwi ako kasi medyo may sakit ako, natulog, paggising, lalong nagkasakit pa. kaya hindi na ako pumasok sa 5:30 pm class ko, natulog na lng ako. heto, grabe ang ubo, sipon, medyo may lagnat at headache. takot ako kasi sabi nila, once you started the new year na may sakit, you will be always sick within that year. wag naman sana:( *coughs*

i'll be turning 18 this feb 2011! i don't want! i can now be jailed! another random thought that just sprouted out, this year, i'll be collecting things, anything with ribbons except hello kitty! haha. i hope i can srsly collect these things. coz u know, i've collected these things way back and then i stopped: glow in the dark (i have hundreds!), chocolate wrappers (chocolates around the world given by some people in stets), mickey mouse (4-5 stuffs and then i stopped coz it's so freaking mahal to collect MM things! haha). so i hope i can collect more ribbons so i guess our (i and ate) bedroom will have more basura according to my sister!

laugh out loud in my title, coz it's seriously funny. there's a pimple inside my nose like ugh.

so a usual greeting to all of you, HAPPY NEW YEAR! and i also forgot to greet you, MERRY CHRISTMAS! so belated. lol. i celebrated new year without a bang, but with a close college friend, zafara and my sister, maria. this is because i don't want to be bad tripped (haha at the word) in isulan which is related to my late Christmas greeting coz i was srsly unhappy last dec 25th. srsly. so, luckily, my watsons internship saved me! saved by the bell. at least, i got reasons to celebrate new year here rather than in isulan. haha. new year at davao was really a holy night-silent night!

about 2010, nothing major major things really happened in my life, i mean it has not done a big impact on me. ok, tell me i'm insensitive. i am, really. 2010 was a good year but nothing can beat those years i had with my family, when i say family, i mean those years we are complete. it's almost 9 years that we're not complete. my nanay is working in US, my eldest sister is now happy in Arizona with her own family, my 2nd brother is now stable with her wife in manila. every Christmas, i've been wishing for another FAMILY PICTURE. a photoshoot of a complete family. that's why i'm not really looking forward into these seasons (excepts for the gifts). it's because i think i'm tired of just waiting and waiting and waiting, it's idle for those 9 years. i'm still hoping though. TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS. i f you get what i mean, hail you, you're smart!

but if we just wait for the time to do its job, still, it would not really work things out. i know it needs efforts from every member of the family. but it seems that, no one is working with it. so this year, i want to have more guts and optimism and good spirit to push me to make family things better. i know i can be the change. even though i'm the youngest in the family, i know i can if i just believe. nakakatakot! so, help me God. and pray for me readers:))) thank u for this privileged speech. thank u.

having some piece of bragging rights, i'm so happy to be in the top 12 of the pharmacy sophomores. though, pressure is at my back, i'm still enjoying it, i take them as privileges and challenges. so, after 2 weeks of internship training before entering the 4 walls of Watsons Pharmacy, finally, i'm now an official intern of Watsons. way back in our orientation, we were trained at SM training room, where you can see SM employees relaxing, chilling, brushing their teeth, eating at employees' canteen and doing nothing at their very stylish lounge. Watsons coordinator talked about Watsons-SM tandem, Henry Sy and some business pioneers. the orientation made me so "wow, grabe and Watsons, pwede mag back-out?". 'coz, Watsons is just so big company, when i mean big, it's literally the largest retail pharmacy in the world, not just in pharmacy, but also, they have wine industries, shipping, telecom and etc.

i am so lucky to be an intern in Watsons, we have set of schedules of what to do unlike the interns of some pharmacies which don't have that "direction".

day 1: product familiarization, which made my middle finger sore, like rotting in hell. i've listed 500+ drugs, 900+ indications, 1000+ dosages and photocopied 450+ drugs, plus their indications and dosages.

day 2: end of product familiarization. we were asked to bag and staple with receipts of the items the customers bought. which made me forgot the time to log out. overtime? maybe, we've extended at least 20 mins, i enjoyed too much.

day 3: picking items and reading and filling prescriptions, cashiering, talking and counseling to patients, bagging items and answered a 100 item exam, i got 80/100.d

day 4: the same with day 3, plus taking orders using their computers, scanning barcodes and more customers served! and more prescription reading! AND MORE CONVERSATION WITH KOREAN, GERMAN, AMERICAN PATIENTS! that's very cool, awesome, right? plus, libreng yellow cab ni sir JM!

though it's very tiring to stand there, (yes, no seating! we don't have chairs, seat at floor if you dare) all this tiredness are just diminishing every time you think of serving the customers with smiles (kahit plastic kasi pagod), i always think of, "i'm so helpful to these people, because i help them to be well and healthy". again, i always think of optimum health outcome to the customers. i've counseled, like, "ma'am, use this before bedtime, ma'am this is for your child" and many more. you see, once you give a drug to be taken by your customer, gives a different feeling for you. a feeling that you will change his system, not his life, but his systemic and hepatic circulation which i think, could still change his life forever. what i want to express right now is like unexplainable, i'm just so happy to serve them. especially talking to them.

first thing to say: i'll have my internship in WATSONS!
i'm proud to say that i belong to the top 12 of the 2nd yr pharmacy students of spc!
criteria were high grades and ATTITUDE.
i was nervous coz all i have are good grades, i really don't have the attitude that they were saying. maybe, they have noticed something like that in me. lol. party! party!

Prelims and midterms are over! not really pala, i have 3 lab exams to go, plus finals, plus intamurals. hey, i failed the interview for intrams program committee, and i don't care, it's their loss, not mine. i'm not really busy, but i'm busy busyhan, i'm just busy for a moment, say, tonight, because i procrastinated last week, so i need to do this and that.

academic rants: outburst of a procrastinator

as usual, i'm battered by my quizzes, exams, projects (did i mention, we're doing drug literatures, drug labels, boxes? which is very tiring) and, tantararan, i'm not proud to say that my physicks quizzes are always line of 7, which is really disappointing and nakakawalang gana. i always study, i'm gahot in physicks, srsly. but i always end up with percentages of 76, 76, 76, 76! like hell! when would be the time i'll spell physicks as p-h-y-s-i-c-s? *sighs*

dds: drug delivery system

dds lecture is fine, so as dds lab. i love my scores, if i'm gahot in physicks, i'm more gahot in dds lec and lab, srsly. major major subjects dude! i love making, compounding, preparing and manufacturing drugs. i love mixing the active substance with the excipients. i love dissolving volatile oils in alcohols. i love creams, ointments, pastes, tablets, capsules, aromatic waters, acacia mucilage, elixirs, spirits and the like. i'm loving the time when i'm in the lab, i hate it there because it's f***ing hot there.

PhChem: pharmaceutical chemistry

ok, our prof is always absent, literally ABSENT. i mean, she always attends seminars, her sick kid and whatever reason, blah, blah. midterm grades are better than prelims, i think.

2nd yr college is hell-er than in my first year. kapoy sage experiment sa lab, tapos puro majors na. i like all my majors excpet PHYSICS. hindi ko gd magets nganu may physics kami. as usual, we still have chem of medicinals but we are more on health care right now which is pretty boring during lab sessions. our lab prof is the dullest and most monotonous prof we have!

i so hate and i so love the location of our new apartment. i hate it because, i should wake up 1 hour and 30 minutes before class time, 15-20 minutes na biyahe dude, unlike dati na almost 1 minute lng. i love it coz it's really a house, i can do whatever i want, i can cook! haha.

hey. i tried to minimize my gastusin this week. i tried an allowance of 500 php a week, unlike dati na 1k/wk/day/2days/3days. kaya ko pala ang 500/wk, nakasave pa ako ng 200, as long as sa canteen lang ako maglalunch at magrecess. once a week na lang kami kakain sa mall, yan pingameetingan namin ng circle of friends ko.

and hey! i'm liking this guy now and later, i don't and now i like and later i don't. haha. lulubog lilitaw din naman. aaaah. so random.

i'm engaging myself to cooking and gown designing. they say i should shift to engineering, others say, to fashion designing. ah. whatever they say.. aaah. so random again.,

i was in davao last tuesday and wednesday, i enrolled myself. i'm BS in Pharmacy, still 2A! no reshuffling of sections done. good thing, our professors got lazy to reshuffle us. i heard med tech people were reshuffled. haha. but actually, i wanted to be reshuffled. i want to meet new people and see how long can i adjust with them. whatever.

hey! Thank God, i'm still a scholar! i passed the scholarship maintaining WPA, i got flat 90. i was very nervous to see my grades. i thought i failed microbiology which is fkcing hard to pass. woohoo! but i did!

i saw my schedule, and it's AWESOME. i got plenty of half-days! though night classes get 50% of its awesomeness. mondays and saturdays- i will wake up early, 7:30 am dude! thursday and friday, i think i have classes up to 7:30 pm. and i have 3-6 hours of waiting for next class in some days. but ah, i still love it!

and. i've been spending my time playing with my nieces and nephews and getting online. i'll be back in dvo on monday. i'm excited to see freshmen dudes. i just hope, GOOD-LOOKING GUYS ARE EVERYWHERE, please, sana may gwapo sa pharmacy. marami na kaming magaganda. haha

what's with the jejemons? why are they so on trend today? plus the jejebusters? who are they? they fight against jejemons? oh 'cmon!

i'm sorry but i think this is very stupid. plus the jejemon song. people in facebook and even in my laboratory classes talk about jejemon. all i know is that jejemon people use heELlOWWH FoWwWhZz type of texting and chatting. this is so old school. i have textmates before that used this style of writing and that was years ago, yes! YEARS ago. then, today, people come up with their term "jejemon" to name those jeje users.

the first time i read this word "jejemon" was after my final exams last 2nd semester (yes, 'coz i was too busy in my studies that i can't even open my fb). and i was like asking myself, "anu to?". then i've read that they use jeje in texting. at first, binaliwala ko lang. but after weeks, holy cow na. they're so sikat. and then jejebusters sprouted. and their population is increasing. are they making sound? nakikiuso? ew.

(this was like "twilight" fangirlism before, nung una, nababasa ko lang ang twilight stuffs sa co-bloggers ko like vanessa, camille and oh-sorry-i-forgot-their-names, and hindi ko rin naririnig ito dati sa tv. then when the movie was premiered and showed in cinemas. holy cow again! dumami ata ang nag ka Cullen disorder at naririnig ko na sa bawat babae. best word to fit- nakikiuso. nakikiuso rin naman ako (sa fashion, etc), but i'm not a big fan but i haven't gone gaga over this)

i'm not a pro/anti jejemon or pro/anti jejebuster. 'coz i think this is really stupid. dati, jeje users were living smoothly until busting stuffs exist.

but i can't deny the fact that i myself laugh when i read HaAaAiIiI FoWwWhZZss in text messages. i'm not a jejemon. i'm not a jejebuster either. this should be stopped not busted.

laptop and OS

hey, i love my laptop again, 'coz i can open openoffice na. thanks kuya to your programming skills and to your patience for teaching me how to type commands. fyi, i am a linux user, meaning, my OS (operating system) is linux (ubuntu version i-don't-know). this os isn't new to computer users(programmers). i started using linux since this march 2010, but my first encounter was, i was like 2nd yr highs school. i find it very boring compared to windows xp, vista. i can't download programs because they usually require windows as OS. good thing is, trojan, worms and other viruses can't penetrate this OS, so my laptop is very safe to threat, actually i don't have antivirus spywares.

i graduated high school with soaring rainbow colors and i entered college in black and white hiding those colors. i did that because i don't want my classmates to expect something good, let's say "bright jud ni siya" or they will expect good grades and no failures. as i go along, i played college cards well, getting highest scores in exams, quizzes and wpa to prove that i am smart enough and deserve what i had.

way back in high school and elementary, i was once a good dancer and a multi-talented student (they say-haha), and because of these hearsays, i told myself to be active in college- to represent my school in quiz bowls, to compete with other dancers and to gain curricular points. i tried once (1st semester). i joined the school paper's screening. i failed. this was the first and last school audition i joined. no more, no less. that was the start of "oh-jo anne-college-is-not-for-you" thing then it encouraged me to study, to have more patience and to enjoy life the most. i did.

college is hell. college is heaven.

college is hell, if:

-your professor is strict and gives you quizzes not found in your notes or gives it everyday.
-your prof gives you 15 seconds in every item in moving exams
-your classmates hate you
-your classmates pointed you as their group leader (especially laboratory classes)
-you have nothing to wear during wednesdays
-your class starts at 7:30 am and ends at 7:30 pm
-you have laboratory classes everyday
-your schoolmates stare at you in the lobby when you're walking alone
-you have pe practice after laboratory classes at night
-you failed your final exams, quizzes
-you broke laboratory apparatus
-you're an irregular student
-you study away from your house/family
-you have saturday classes
-you wake up early during sundays for your required nstp activities
-you're sick, home sick
-you ran out of money and atm machine is offline
-you need lots of php for your books, requirements and PHOTOCOPIES
-you eat lucky me noodles during lunch or dinner 'coz you have no money
-you can't have special exams when you're out without valid reasons
-you need a taxi 'coz it will take you faster-you're late

college is heaven, if:
-you passed prelims, midterms and final exams, quizzes
-you have friends
-your professor spoon feeds you during exams and quizzes
-your professor gives considerations like rounding off your grades for you to pass
-you have no classes and the best to do are stroll and eat
-your parents sent you allowance
-you passed your major subjects
-you mall hop with college friends
-you met your high school classmates/schoolmates/friends in your new school's lobby
-your professor appreciates your effort
-you have no pe or major subjects
-you have no love life
-you're inspired

college is good. college is worse than hs. high school is better than college. high school is bad.

hi! just got home from the busy streets, famous sunset and polluted air of greater manila area (my first time). we stayed at makati for 3 nights, went to tagaytay, took our lunch and nice view of taal volcano, went to sm moa and trinoma, ate and shopped (and i was amazed! haha.). merienda at one of the manila ocean park restaurants. went to sta. maria bulacan, stayed there for almost 3 hours (for pamanhikan) and smell the heavenly scent of success (hogs nad piggies babey!), and yes, ordered some famous frappes and pastries in the number one coffee producer in the world, starbucks, dude. (coz i really wanted to go there, to see what's really on it, why people bother their selves to buy that hundred-bucks frappe and took pictures with the logo), and i am not so liking their very expensive and overpriced drinks, very not practical. i prefer those cheap yet masarap frappes of cheap coffee shops.

then went to A.venue hotel, and saw my "not sure" relative who is the general manager of the said hotel, but i do believe, he is really my relative then ate our breakfast there. my brother's wedding will be on the 30th of october of this year, and we're staying on the same hotel, it's a church wedding and it will be in his fiance's province, bulacan. we saw an antique church and maybe that's their good choice for their church, reception will follow at one of the bulacan's resto. not sure of these though.

to complete my vacation, i met my relatives from father's side residing in bicutan, antipolo and wherever. i saw my very pretty second-cousins. and yeah, we took the plane and this was my first plane ride after 11 years. (i was like 4 or 6 yrs old when i took my last flight bound to iloilo).

in short, summer 2010 was a blast. and i'm thanking my kuya, nanay and tatay for making my summer a bomb!

we woke up early, then went to aldevinco for peso-$ exchange then bought batik dresses then CAP (college assurance plan) to follow-up some checks, nagtaxi pa kami diyan. then nanay decided to go to the mall, "jeep na lang ta ga, pirte ka mahal ang taxi". haha. then naglakad-lakad kami sa kanto then nag jeep. then tumawag kuya ko nagtanong kung sa saan ako at sino kasama ko. "sa jeep kami subong, pa mall, upod ko si nanay kag si ate". na shock si kuya "ha? ngaa niyo gin pa jeep si nanay?", haha. then went to a mail office and ate lunch- ginaya ko si nanay at nag american lunch style ako- vegetable salad na binabalik-balikan ko dati pa sa shakey's. you will surely love the crispiness of lettuce! tapos nag brownout s mall, bumili ng tela, tapos bumalik sa CAP. grabe, nakatulog kami sa labas sa kahihintay ng tseke, nkuha nga ang check pero hindi pa makukuha ang pera, ayun nagmura si nanay. then umalis na kami. bibili daw ng durian candies pampasalubong lang. sabi ko sa magsaysay para marami pagpilian, buti n lang may nakita si ate sa kanto, medyo malayo yun, naglakad na naman kami. tapos ginutom na ako, naglakad na naman kami papuntang dencia's, malapit na kami sa resto tapos medyo mabagal na maglakad si nanay, yun pala, sira na yung sandal na sinuot niya. haha. kaya ayun, after kain diretso kami sa gaisano south, bumili ng tsinelas, binili ni ate yung pekeng havaianas. then pumunta ng sm,, bumili ng kitchen utensils na bago para sa apartment then umuwi. then sa apartment, ipinakita ni ate ang tsinelas niyang binili, kunting lakaran lang, super thin na agad ng tsinelas, ayun lakas ng tawa ko.

habang naglalakad, nagiismile ako always. hindi ko kasi maimagine na ksama ko si nanay na palaboy-laboy sa tabi-tabi ng davao. ahhhh. i so love my mom:) gusto ko ulit mangyari to.

pero sa totoo lang, mas malayo nilalakad ni nanay sa calif, ang pinagkaiba lang, dito may traffic, pollution at napakarumi.

right now, i'm availing the hospital's free wifi access.

so, tatay was admitted at st. elizabeth yesterday, coz he has hypertension, diabetes, pneumonia and typhoid fever. but he's okay na, he has normal bp and no fever but he'll stay here until tuesday cos his doctor ordered so. GET WELL SOON tatay! remember: eat right, low sodium and no fats.

yesterday and just this morning was neenia's bday bash. i enjoyed dolores farm with her, edwin, dio, kuya justin, leander, diana jean. super lamig ng tubig sa pool, i was like freezing to death like jack. haha. then slept and woke up then went to neenia's house-chikaness and fb there then went to robinsons to wait for my kuya to fetch us then ate lunch at mcdo, still with them then i was fetched by my kuya then we fetched nanay then proceeded here in the hospital. then stayed here, slept here for awhile, ate tofu, then went to kcc mall for tatay's fruits and some snacks for my overnight stay here and then typing this and then... den denrenen. all THENs. haha.

i'm going back to davao tomorrow then study there then i'll be more serious in my studies and pass trigonometry then do some paper works again like doing the inverstigatory project thing way back in high school then will go to city health office to ask some respondents and staffs there about trachoma, chicken pox and some EEWWW bacterial disease in eyes and skin then everything i have just mentioned and type here is for my microbiology lec and lab.

anyway, this is oa much but after 1 week of our (pharmacy 1A) typanum's work (listening) in microbiology lec and lab, we all have sanitizers na to clean our lil hands, haha. we don't use alcohol na. then before we eat, we always disinfect our table na. haha.

microbio lab is so tiring but i can still find myself enjoying the experiments like counting the colonies and bacteria we have cultured, saying "EEEWWW" in e.coli, staph a, p. aeruginosa and the like and more breaks and recess.

but one thing makes my microbio lab so nakakainis, what is it? it's RESPONSIBILITY. i always find myself doing the stuffs that THIS GIRL should and required to do. i'm sorry, but i know, i've been helping my group to death and at my best. and THIS GIRL is always burning her ass in dark brown stools (not feces) and just stare in the wire loop to be flame-sterilized. i gave you 2 weeks to do what you need to do but you failed me, you haven't done your part. so, because you can't i'm doing this. enough.

anyway again, got my grades last last week, i was do depressed when i saw my WPA, it was 90.92, last sem i got 92.13. nagbaba ako. and i was like O.0 nahihilo while walking down the stairs. i so hate chemistry and filipino! then went to faculty room to get my anatomy grade, it was 85, then i recomputed my WPA, i got 89.93, and it made me feel so down and so dull and lazy. darn. i blame myself for not studying on time and watching tanging yaman till bandera. errr.. it's too late. bawi ako this summer. i know, i can and i will. i maybe sound ambitious, but my WPA makes my parents happy and for them to feel that i'm not wasting the bucks they're depositing in my account and coz i WANT to be in the top. that's it.

thu, fri, sat- 6 hours of microbio lab.

wow. how can i enjoy my summer?

nanay's going home on april 17th, and i have classes up to 1:30 pm, we'll fetch her after lunch daw. how can i? shi masyado.

anyway, i have computed my expenses last 2 semesters.

50%- food!

20%-grocery- hey! i do grocery at least once a week, or twice a month. blame liters of fresh milk and tropicana, and koko krunch too! shampoo and conditioners.

10%- photocopies and other stuffs for school.
10%- fare- jeep, sikad, (at van pag uuwi)

5%- shopping (jusko! 200php and pinakamahal ko na nabiling blouse since dumating ako sa davao, promise! haha. sale pa!)

5%- hindi ko na alam.

been spending my 2-week vacation on videos, editing and making short films. lol. i hope i can make at least 5 short films before summer classes start. my nieces and nephews are the stars in my very short film. lol. i'm going to rant about what i have experienced in my first year in college-that's when i'm in mood and not lazy. expect not-so-good stories and experiences from me, college is hell, as what i've mentioned in my previous entry, triple your "gahut" in high school, that's my definition for college. haha. gtg.
